What are the black particles and flakes in my water?
Black particles in water are usually caused by rubber gaskets breaking down in your plumbing and water systems within your house. Rubber gets old and brittle over time and can begin to break down.
The best way to address this is to identify any areas in your plumbing with rubber gaskets and replace them as necessary based on their condition.
