Monarch Waterline Replacement – Second Part of the Project

About the Project

This project involed replacement of a major 10-inch water transmission main under Monarch Parkway. The existing line was old, undersized and not easy to access for repairs. The new 16-inch pipe is larger and located in the middle of the parkway road for easier access.

  • Previous Work: The first 5,900 feet of waterline replacement was finished in 2024 (Castle Pines Parkway to Berganot Trail).
  • Work in 2025: The remaining 1,700 feet of the pipeline project began June 2025 and the District's work was finished in early fall (from Berganot Trail north to Buffalo Trail). The City of Castle Pines finished its construction up to Winter Berry Drive in early winter.

Traffic Impacts

The District worked with the City of Castle Pines to reroute traffic and handle any construction-related concerns.
